This is an evergreen native fern which typically forms a non-spreading, vase-shaped clump about 18"-24" tall. It is most often found in shaded crevices of rocky ledges and bluffs. Features grayish-green, deeply cut, leathery fronds (15-20" long). It is pest-resistant and long-lived while providing cover for small animals. Unpalatable for deer.
